Peace Pipe is a regulation 9-hole private golf club in Denville, New Jersey. Conveniently located on Lee Rd., just 2 ½ miles from the center of town, it is easily accessible for all of Morris County residents seeking a country club membership. 

This par 70 course boasts a NJSGA rating of 66.5 and a slope of 126, making it ideal for golfers of all calibers. Our clubhouse features a bar, grill, and full-service pro shop. We are open 7 days a week, with Monday hours starting at noon and Tuesday through Sunday from 8:00 AM until dark, ready to welcome those looking for an exceptional Denville NJ golf experience.

An idea sparked in the mid-50s by Sid and Edith Lee after they took up golf, and inspired by suggestions from several golfing friends, was brought to life. On their unused farm and orchard, they began construction in the fall of 1957. With the help of their three sons, family, and friends, they opened with six holes in 1960. By 1963, with the addition of three more holes and a small clubhouse, it transformed into the Peace Pipe Country Club, offering an inviting opportunity for country club membership in Denville, NJ and becoming a sought-after private golf club.

Many names were suggested by “everyone,” but ultimately, the final choice was made by Mr. and Mrs. Lee. The Lees raised hunting dogs for a few years, and Mr. Lee’s favorite was Penny of Peace Pipe Farms. He decided to simplify the name by dropping Penny and Farms, renaming it Peace Pipe Country Club. This private golf club soon became a sought-after destination for country club membership in Denville, NJ, attracting golf enthusiasts from the area.
